Submersible Pump & Control Box Replacement
Submersible Pump and Control Box Replacement
At WaterTech Well Solutions, we recently replaced a 4-inch, 3-wire submersible pump and its control box for a residential water well system in South Mississippi. Submersible pumps operate deep underground, making them more complex to access and service than other types of well pumps — but our MDEQ-certified technicians have the experience and equipment to handle the job safely and efficiently.
Diagnosing the Problem
Before replacing any component, our team performed a series of electrical and performance tests to ensure the pump itself was the true source of failure. In many cases, issues with a pressure switch, wiring, or control box can mimic pump failure, so accurate testing is critical to avoid unnecessary replacements.
Once diagnostics confirmed that the pump motor had failed, we removed the old submersible unit, inspected the well casing and wiring, and installed a new, energy-efficient submersible pump along with a matching control box.
Restoring Reliable Water Flow
After installation, we performed a full system test to verify pressure consistency, electrical balance, and proper performance of all well components. The homeowner’s water pressure was restored to normal, and the system is now operating more efficiently than before.
Submersible well systems are known for their long lifespan, but even the best equipment can eventually wear out. Regular maintenance and electrical testing help extend the life of your well and prevent unexpected downtime.
